Huck Finn Pants

I ordered a sewing book (Weekend Sewing by Heather Ross) because I loved a lot of the patterns.

I've never sewed clothing before... so I thought this went really smoothly for being my first attempt. The materials cost a little more than five dollars, and the time was slightly more than an hour.

These are the "Huck Finn" pants for toddlers on page 129. I made the 18 months size, they're a bit big on O, but all the better to grow into.

Those look great! You are giving me courage to try to follow some clothing patterns soon...

This pattern was super easy to follow and I think I could shave some time off the hour now that I know what i'm doing.
Kids clothes are expensive. I'm glad I can now make pants, at least, for less than I can buy them new.
